Original 7"x5" abstract painting on watercolor paper. Unframed. 10"x8" complimentary mat included.

The pair of abstract paintings, titled Down the Rabbit Hole, evokes a sense of exploration and disorientation, much like the titular journey from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The compositions present a balance of chaos and harmony, drawing the viewer into a realm of shifting perceptions and layered emotions.

In No.1, soft greens and blues, deep grays, and streaks of magenta intertwine with textured patterns, creating a sensation of entering an unknown but intriguing space. Hints of brightness peek through the muted palette, suggesting fleeting moments of clarity amidst the haze. The scraping and blending of colors suggest both wear and revelation, as if layers of time are being uncovered.

No.2 complements its counterpart with a more illuminated perspective, offering an impression of depth and verticality. Faint yellows and warm pinks rise against somber grays, evoking a progression through uncertainty toward a potential light. The marks and shapes imply motion and growth, a journey both physical and emotional.

Together, the works exude a dynamic interplay between shadow and light, confusion and discovery. They invite the viewer to reflect on their own transformative experiences—moments when stepping into the unknown led to unforeseen beauty and insight.
